The work cafeteria has been really phoning it in all week, because of labor day I guess. The number of people eating there is down too, so I guess it's justified, but there's only three stations open -- sandwiches, the grill, and 'hearthstone' which serves typical american restaurant food -- some form of meat, with vegetables or pasta or potatoes or something as side dishes.

The sandwiches are awful (I really don't know how they manage to make them that bad) and the grill is overpriced ($7.00 for a 'lamburger'), so I've been... well, doing the best I can.

There's a group of testers I normally eat lunch with. I eat with the testers because I like eating early, and the testers are on the 11:00 shift. PGMs are at noon, most devs at 1. Lately, the normal topics of conversation have been (a) test scripts, (b) reality television, (c) movie trivia, and (d) politics. I don't have a hell of a lot I really want to say about any of those (I don't write test scrips, don't watch reality television, don't remember movie trivia, and feel compelled to argue the opposite side when a bunch of people are all in agreement on something, which means arguing in favor of GWB et al [shudder]), and I'm a bit worried that I'm being all quiet and boring. I hate being idly.
