H-something
Jul. 27th, 2004 05:01 pmThere are two indian women working in my group who have names starting with H. One's a developer, and one's a tester. Today, Hilena (the tester) asked for a meeting to discuss how [some feature] worked, internally, and given the subject matter I assumed it was Hema (the developer).
I can't tell them apart -- well, I *can*, if they're standing next to each other, but I *didn't* -- and so I gave an intro 'how to look into programming with [this feature]' speech.
H: "Do we even have access to the source code?"
A: "Huh?"
H: "Do testers have access to the source code. You said to look in this file to figure out how it worked in more detail."
A: "Oooooh. Right... um... well... what did you want to know, specifically?"
Then I spent an hour debugging through it for her trying to find the answer, since I didn't know it, and didn't think anyone else would offhand either. Sigh.
