Sunday Magic

terryclothIt might be officially called a 'movie' gathering, but... yeah, anyway, I brought my OLD SKOOL magic decks yesterday to play against people, the black one and the blue one (DEEP SPAWN IN THE HOUSE!) and the green one (Gaia's Liege and the FoNz), and they did pretty well.
Especially the Deep Spawn deck. Those creatures just *rule*, I don't know why no one else ever played with them -- giant and untargetable, what's not to like?
ANYWAY, Lex said he didn't want to have too many people over to his place, but after Kitsunetaur offered to have everyone over to his place, it came out that there were too many people who he and Slox and Gray had driven up from Auburn and Federal Way NOT to go back to his place, so he clarified it as 'I want everyone to go home by 11pm', which was fine since it was like 4 at the time.
It was mostly (a subset of) the usual crew, 'cept Zir came. Still recovering from dental surgery, which meant she had to bum second-hand-smoke off people instead of cigarettes.
Lex showed her all his evil music videos (apparently they're both into evil goth bands), and joked that I'd write about it in my livejournal 'and there were all these scary guys and this girl getting her blood sucked out'. But that's silly -- I never go into that much detail in these entries, and if I did I'd probably mention the lightning-hands guys that we all giggled at instead. "Heehee, it's a video about Magic the Gathering!"
Otherwise it was mostly the usual. Played some magic, traded some cards (although that's my last set, and Lex is out of things I want from him anyway), got tickle-tortured half to death by Kitsunetaur and, er, some goat... got home around 1amish, since Lex didn't actually kick us out 'till 12:30. Yeah.
