Cruuuuisssin for a... zzzz...

terryclothThere was a 'ship party' today, but instead of the normal 'stand around and throw people in the fountains', we got on a ship and sailed around the sound.
There was an 'interactive murder mystery' provided for us as entertainment, but it wasn't very interactive. Parts of it were painful to watch, like the first bit, where everyone laughed when the girl got shot. That seemed to annoy the actors too -- 'what, is there gunfire every day where you work?' Really, though, I think people just weren't ready to start playing along, because we were HUNGRY and they were delaying our food.
Also, instead of leaving clues around for us to find, they just staged periodic presentations where 'clues have been found' and, one after another, the planted victims died in various fashions. I missed the last half, but as I understand it it ended with everyone submitting who they thought did it and how, and them picking the best one. Yay.
I spent most of the cruise out on the deck, staring at the city and the islands, and listening to the ipod, and ignoring everyone else, and eventually sleeping. When I woke up, I'd missed everything, and I was suddenly too dizzy to stand -- every tiny motion the boat made would send me spinning. Don't know what brought that on.
Now... in theory, I could get a little work in before this other work-related party that I'm supposed to show up to. Customers will be there. Yay.
