Social Engineering?
Apr. 29th, 2004 01:16 pmI saw a strange man working on S's computer in the office next to mine, did a double take, and walked up to the door. "You don't *look* like S," I said.
He said he was a technician on a service request to deal with a network virus problem. I vaguely remembered S talking about that like a month ago, so I would have been satisfied there.
But he handed me the service request, his ID, and so on to basically prove that he was who he said he was doing what he said he was doing. "It's good that you asked, though," he kept repeating.
