Hanging Around
Apr. 11th, 2004 09:53 pmNothing I did today should be anything special, but I really don't get out much.
Basically, we met at Crossroads like every Sunday, except that the mall was closed. So we met outside the mall, in the shade, fending off the roving security guard every half hour or so by telling him we were just waiting for people to show up, which was basically true.
Eventually, everyone showed up, and Legend suggested going to a nearby barbecue joint that he was pretty sure was open, to eat. Zir had no money, and I wasn't really hungry enough to face down a barbecue place, so with Havoqx (who was relying on Zir for a ride) we headed over to Marymoor park instead, and sat around playing magic on a picnic table.
I got totally owned.
Zir suggested that we go see Snoqualmie Falls, so we drove out there... it was a nice day for a drive, although I would have enjoyed it more if there was someone actually *in* the car with me, instead of just another car heading for the same place. The park was *packed*, but they'd added enough new parking that we were able to go look at the falls (they weren't turned off today) and then sit around on rocks explicitly not walking down to the river.
Since we were relatively close, we stopped by Zir's house after that to try to get some of her stuff, but no one was home OR they were home but deliberately not answering the door. OR they didn't hear Zir's knocking. Or something.
My car was making weird whirring noises the whole time we were there, even though it was turned off, but I think that Havoqx was right and that it was some sort of blower to cool off the engine. It's the sort of thing the car would have.
After THAT we stopped over at Odi's to look at porn and taunt Flamey with naked women. He got his revenge by chasing Havoqx around the apartment with a ripped piece of leather belt. It was... weird.
But Odi was taking Doc and Flamey to dinner at someone's house, so it was just Havoqx and Zir and me at Taco Bell for some dinner, before I headed home. One table next to us had everyone take off their shoes and walk around the restaurant barefoot. Ick! The floor was *sticky*, I wouldn't want to put my socks in contact with it.
