On the other hand...
Apr. 1st, 2004 02:17 pmI'm not feeling nearly as sick today (when I have a stuffy nose and crap that tells me I definately have a cold) as I did yesterday and Tuesday (where my head and teeth ached, and I felt generally ick). So maybe I'm mostly over it. Here's hoping.
I also had several good games on Magic Workstation last night, although it's hard to tell ahead of time how good someone else's deck is going to be, and there are definately some glitches in the system. I played people with my silly skullclamp deck, and never saw the clamp the whole night, but still managed to win one out of four, with two losses, and one random disconnect.
The losses were against a deck with FOUR skullclamps. And four goblin sharpshooters. I came close to pulling off a win in the first game with an endlessly resurrecting dross golem thanks to an oversold cemetary (him: "Hey, didn't I kill that golem already?" me: "Yeah, twice.") but he always had more bolts and shatters thanks to the clamps. In the second game, he put down all four skullclamps by turn three, while I was stuck with one land and a bunch of 2-cost mana Myr. Which I couldn't use anyway because of his sharpshooter. I did eventually manage to get some decent critters out and stop his weenie attacks, but I was way down on life, and he just sac'd all his critters and sharpshootered me to death.
South Park and the Daily Show were also kind of funny, and Furtoonia's park seems to be more alive lately than I remember it. I should thank Effsey for accidentally luring me out there again.
