Money Annoyance
Mar. 27th, 2004 06:50 pmTwo very annoying things today.
The first was that I found out that when the bank tricked me into putting some of the money in my savings account into some investment fund. They took the money out of my *checking* account instead of my savings account, meaning that I was overdrawn by several dozen thousand dollars for about a month. I called them about it today (when I found out) and they said they'd reverse the charges (which were only about $40 anyway), but ARGH.
The second is that I tried to do my taxes, and it looks like the brokerage handling stock option transactions reported the same income that ALSO got included on my W-2, only without the 'withholding taxes' part. I think the most *accurate* thing to do would be to burn the redundant 1099-B, but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, legally.
And of course nothing is open until Monday.
