I had overcooked lamb for lunch today. A few weeks ago they had severely undercooked lamb, to the point of people complaining, so today they made a point of offering two choices -- undercooked and overcooked.

I also had what was advertised as 'Flan Cake' but turned out to be essentially a sugary omelette. It tasted pretty good, but I think I used up my egg quota for the next month or two (I believe it's one egg a week).

Last night, I bought a whole bunch of DVDs, despite the stacks and stacks of unwatched DVDs I have already. They were all things I want to see, though -- Slayers, Futurama, Angel, Haibane Renmai which people have been recommending, and parts 3 and 4 of Final Fantasy Unlimited.

FFU continues to be godawful strange and creepy, which is good, because that's why I like it. The last episode had a lot of chanting by ranks of faceless factory workers who kept building and taking apart some unidentifiable machine; the plot point was when the evil Oscar made them finish the job (which killed them), then attacked the good guys with the resulting giant robot.

But now I have the workers' chant stuck in my head, all night and all day. Gaah.

Work neverending, our work is never done!
Building up, tearing down, it goes on and on.

As an experiment, I made this entry into a comic.
