California went for McCain?!
...just kidding. Actually, looking at the map, that still wouldn't win it for him. My god. >.<
So, people vote for hope. I've never been a big fan of hope, it hurts when it's dashed to pieces... I voted for him, but that's because I'm a card carrying democrat. Although my card expired -- Obama had more money than god so I decided to keep mine.
I wish my involuntary subscription to democratic fundraising material expired with it, but no such luck.
The conservative block on Spindizzy was predicting a November Surprise of Obama being assassinated, because the michigan militia and friends would never stand for him taking their guns away. This kind of boggled my mind, given that his stated position is pro-second-amendment. They also had a lot of nasty things to say about Biden -- a lot MORE nasty things, actually. Which makes me wonder why they were hoping for Obama's demise.
"It couldn't be that bad, some states have gun ownership written into the state constitution!" So does, you know, the federal government. If the actual constitution didn't stop them, I don't think Wyoming's would be more than a speed bump.
Anyway, now we get a charismatic leader promising change on the cusp of an economic implosion. WHY MUST EVERY NEW PRESIDENT LOOK LIKE THE NEXT HITLER!?
