Wonderworld, the comic shop I usually go to, which I've always loved for its huge selection of comics and role-playing books and anime, is apparently closing down because (according to the rumors) the landlord is raising the rent in an attempt to force out all the local businesses so that they can bulldoze the whole strip mall and put in condos. In the middle of Burien?
At any rate, they gave me back my last order form and told me to go find another shop. The closest one is the Comic Den in Renton, which has a tiny selection exclusively of crappy hero comics, which means the only use it is to me is a place to turn in order forms. Still, I *do* need a place like that, and I don't want to drive all the way to Federal Way to visit the second closest (not counting ones in Seattle, because I hate and fear Seattle).
Since they close at six (argh!) I can't stop by on the way to Lazar's game, which otherwise would save a lot of time, since they're actually on the way -- to get to Renton before six I'd have to leave work way too early, plus I'd arrive at Lazar's before everyone else was there and have to sit around waiting. Since they don't open until noon (argh!) I have to move the 'go get comics' trip two hours later than normal, which feels like wasted time, even if I technically have two extra hours *before* it to compensate. Time just before doing something always feels like a waste to me.
So it was 2pm by the time I got home (since I stopped to get food, and at Wonderworld since that's where the comics I already ordered will be showing up for a couple more weeks at least). 4pm by the time I got around to doing anything...
Not that I did anything except play Chrono Trigger.
