Letting the days go by?
Dec. 23rd, 2005 04:23 pmEr, yeah. I've been playing a lot of Kya: Dark Lineage and Dungeon Seige 2. The first is pretty good, although it's a bit sloppy in places, mostly relating to the stealth aspects. Or maybe I'm a bit sloppy with the things you have to do in them. It's forgiving enough about death that it's not a big deal.
The second, well, I finally found an NPC combat mage to add to the party, so I swapped out my second nature mage for her. I'm starting to think it was a ( bad idea. )
In non game-related news, my last remaining grandparents (one is a stepgrandparent) are starting to get senile. They've sent me three separate perfunctory mail-order christmas presents this year -- two of them were cannisters of cashews, the third was a box of cashew brittle. It's a dillema -- I *used* to like cashews before they started sending me far too many of them every year, but now I hate them SO MUCH. Would it be worth telling them not to bother, or would that just disappoint them that I didn't like their gift to no purpose?
I'm thinking they're better off thinking I like the stuff. Maybe I'll mention that they sent three in a thank you note, though, because that's just weird.
TMBG's 'venue songs' arrived, and I watched the DVD portion of it (which doesn't have all the songs). They're... well... some of them are good. 'The Egg' and 'Mr Small's'. Unfortunately, they're named after the cities the clubs were in, and not after the clubs themselves, so it's going to be a bitch figuring out which are the good ones that I want to put on my ipod...
I also started using some prescription acne cream the doctor gave me. Sigh. He wanted to give me oral antibiotics, but that was just too much for freaking acne, especially since he said I'd have to take them indefinately (!!). It's obvious that he just wants an excuse to charge some prescription medication to my insurance, but maybe this extra-strength topical stuff will work where the over the counter stuff didn't... or maybe the other advice he gave me will work, and I'll wrongly chalk it up to the tingly, eye-watering crap. Or maybe nothing will work, and I'll have to continue living with pimples.
