Took the car in today... Honda doesn't really have their act together when it comes to maintenance. They don't remind me when to come in, so when I bring it in on the schedule listed in the manual, they complain that I didn't bring it in on some other schedule that I guess I could have seen if I'd visited their website... bleh.
Anyway, they also don't have a shuttle service or anything, but they're in walking distance of Factoria Cinemas, so I saw a movie while it was being looked at. The only on starting around the right time was King Kong, which I hadn't planned to see, but people had recommended...
Wow, it had a lot of good scenes, and some interesting characters and romance and all. I just wish there weren't so many horrible scenes with a big stupid monkey in them. Seriously. Village of evil natives tying girl up atop a massive ruined wall and pouring burning oil down the sides as a signal == cool. Giant monkey walking out of the jungle and snapping her off the ropes == lame. Tyrrannosaurus Rex devouring slightly smaller dinosaur, then using its tail, danging out of its mouth, as a club to try to thwack the heroine == cool. Giant monkey punching the T-rex in the face == lame.
And OH MY GOD was the ending drawn out beyond all reason. x.x I got bored, started yawning, fell asleep briefly, cheered as the planes finally showed up to take him down... no, no, false alarm, there's still another 15 minutes of the scene left to go... aieeee!
