Wow... er, that is, EQ2
Jun. 15th, 2005 09:51 amAfter spending a few days playing CoH instead, because it has no major bugs, I decided to give EQ2 another shot.
It looks like all the bugs I was seeing (except for the graphical ones) *were* because I was playing a summoner. I played a bit as Terishaell, getting her up to 10th to become an actual druid, and didn't see anything like them, even when I ran away from combat, which I did quite a bit as I didn't realize there were *low* level beetles to kill in the traitorous farmers' fields, and instead was picking around the edges of the klicknick nest...
I was a little disappointed that the first druid spell was thistles... and that App II thistles is exactly the same as App I thistles except for a higher power cost. v.v Also, I only had enough silver saved up for half a suit of light (as opposed to 'very light') armor, so I look weird and mismatched. The little ear cozies are cute, though.
I noticed that Luksh and Lasthenia were on, but I was in the middle of extremely-soloable and not really skippable content (the citizenship quest) while they were.
The only group I got in, other than a decent 5-person one on the isle of refuge, was a mage looking for help retriving his spirit shards, or possibly griefing people by dying over and over and giving them debt. It wasn't really clear. He wouldn't tell me where he was, or come to me, or even wait for me to navigate towards him by selecting him and following the reticle. Instead he kept running in and dying, over and over and over. Meanwhile, everything I could fight without dying was grey to me, so it wasn't clear how exactly I'd have helped him even if I managed to find him, since he was obviously much higher level (I'm guessing 13th, although it didn't say when I selected him)... eventually I got fed up and dropped him, then declined his next five group requests while I worked off the debt he'd given me.
I guess he might have just been using me as a debt sink. Asshole.
