Family visit
Jun. 13th, 2005 10:17 amMom came over again this weekend, to see my sister and her kid, so like I usually do I spent the weekend with them so that I could see her too. We did a bunch of general family stuff (saw the aquarium, wandered around a park, watched some TV, went out to eat)... it looks like little Stevie is gradually becoming less of a pain in the butt to haul around, but it's still pretty slow. }:P And I hear that when he gets a little older he'll get obnoxious.
One of the things we were supposed to do this weekend was plan a longer get-together back in Toledo Ohio... my sister and I, Uncle Tom, and some of Anna's friends are planning to show up around (currently planned time) labor day weekend and the week before and after. But Alex hadn't actually asked for the time off yet, so that killed that discussion quickly.
I'm really terrified of travel, though, and as it gets closer to the time I'm sort of regretting agreeing to it. There's just so many things to do, and so much that could go wrong... the current top worry is mostly involving the upkeep of my apartment and paying all the bills and crap like that. I think last week it was airport security. I had a nightmare about being asked for my passport (which I don't have) and deported to Guatanamo Bay. Where I was forced to convert to Islam.
This general feeling of dread makes it difficult to do the sort of planning that Anna and Alex are, where they're talking to old friends from the area and arranging stuff. I should at least try to get ahold of people, though...
