Once again, I spent ALL THURSDAY (after work) playing City of Heroes. During work, I was merely reading city of heroes websites... just kidding. I mean, I'm not kidding that I read the sites at work, I'm kidding that I spent all day doing it. I need to stop doing it anyway, because they (game site messageboards in general, really) aren't very good at anything except wasting time.

I met up with Lazar's (very cute little) scrapper, and did a mission or two... not sure if he actually likes the game. Objectively, I can certainly understand anyone who found it boring and/or pointless. Although it's nothing compared to EQ. O.O

He logged off pretty early, though, and I went on Victory and made a controller, as it's an archetype I hadn't done yet, and I was still traumatized by Tom's powerlevelling run Wednesday (let's just say it didn't go so well, and left me with a huge headache).

etc etc etc )

Summer: "Don't worry. This is a dangerous place, but you'll be my sidekick, so I'll protect you as long as you stay close. Just be careful not to get too far away from me or talk to any strangers."

Cinnamon: "Er... this looks really dangerous, but okay. I guess I never had *that* much trouble avoiding groups in Perez or whereever."

Summer: "Oh, and I'll have superspeed on, so if you need me to wait just say 'wait'."

Summer zips off on superspeed, quickly running out of sight. Cinnamon sprints after her, a comparative slug, only to see her zipping past in the other direction... and as she whirls around, Summer zips *back* past in the original direction, then leaps into the air and flies up a wall. Cinnamon starts hovering sloooowly up the wall, following her mentor, only to be instantly killed by a Ceres security guard standing at the top, hidden by the edge.

Summer: "Be more careful! I'm stealthed and superspeed, so the monsters can't see me and will always attack you first, and if I get more than 200ft away they'll kill you in one hit."

Cinnamon groans as she lies on the ground, disabled, an enemy standing over her body. Summer zips back and stands right next to it, unseen. Cinnamon activates the hospital teleporter.

Summer: "Why'd you do that? I was going to res you!"

Cinnamon notices that she's on the opposite side of the zone from Summer now, and from the only exit she can take at her clearance level.

Summer: "Wow, it's going to take you a long time to get back here by hover."

Coming soon, Episode 2: Summer gets a group! All of whom have super speed and stealth, giving Cinnamon the aggro of every monster they wake up! Will Summer realize how suicidal this 'powerlevelling' trip is for Cinnamon before she's in debt well into the next level?
