Well, my computer fixed itself over the weekend, which is a relief. Unfortunately, my builds didn't actaully work, so I won't be able to check in today. Well, I might, if I fix them and then do all the tests and stuff... I don't know. It's not important.

Briemh was trying to get me to join an Albedo game he's starting, but it looks like it's taking place at exactly the same time as Tom's game, complete with the 'every other week' thing. And even if it turned out to be every *other* every other week, I'd like to be able to meet the local furries *some* of the time...

Apparently, he has another, online game going on Thursdays after work, which I told him I'd think about. I'll give it a chance, although I'm not a big fan of online games, and he's just using IRC which means no map or anything. And he's the same guy that ran the game at the con, and from talking about the game it looks like he might continue to play fast and loose with the rules -- he's already eliminated the secondary characters entirely.

Basically, if he isn't following the rules to a significant extent, I'm not going to play more than one session -- I don't really have time for anther game, and I'm only willing to make an exception to try out this new system that looks interesting.

Bake Sale

We had the charity bake sale today... I bought a plate of brownies for $75. That was one of the cheaper going prices for a full sized item, although the marketing team had little mini-pies that they were selling that went cheap because they were so tiny.

They also each had cutesy names (because, you know, they were from the marketing team). One of them was the 'Don't Be Cheap' mini-apple pie. I bid fifty cents on it, which stood for an uncomfortably long time... especially considering that the auctioneer had threatened to lick any item which sold for less than $25. Someone saved me and bid $40, though. }:P

Paying for the items is apparently on the honors system this year -- no one was even writing down the winning bids, that I could see. So I increased the normal payroll charity tithing by $75... I think that's what we were supposed to do.
