Turkey day. Night.
Nov. 28th, 2003 08:49 pmI went over to my sister's for Thanksgiving yesterday... they kept calling to postpone the hour that dinner would start, and eventually when I got there they had to postpone it again. It's all the baby's fault, of course.
Well, that and the over was accidentally set at 250 for no-one-knows-how-long.
Eventually, we ate, though, and it was good. Butter-filled and awful for me, but good. Alex's cooking motto is 'just add butter', which he claims is a French cuisine philosophy.
Afterwards we watched the extended version of 'The Two Towers', which wasn't as impressively extended as Fellowship -- most of the added scenes were just people talking. They were saying important things, though, which gave a lot of necessary background, especially if you didn't read the books. "Oh! So THAT'S why Saruman decided to go piss off the ents." "Oh! So THAT'S why Faramir is such a jerk."
Of course, with dinner being so delayed the movie finished well after midnight. z.z
And of course, there were leftovers, which I gorged myself on today, even though overnight I woke up feeling like I was going to puke (although I didn't). I blame the pukeyness on the pumpkin pie, of course -- I knew it'd make me sick; it always does.
