Last night was Lazar's Friday Shadake game, in which we tried to go trick-or-treating and ended up getting in more trouble. And by 'we' I mean me, of course.

The game started late, because Snowwy forgot his cell phone, so Murdock couldn't call him, and Lazar was on the computer, so Snowwy couldn't call HIM, and without his cell phone Snowwy didn't have Murdock's number. Doh. He ended up taking another bus closer, then walking the rest of the way, but it took a long time.

Too much of the night was spent with me (Sophie) off on my own, but what the hell? I TRIED to wake them up to come with me. And was I supposed to not do anything about finding most of my family dead? Gaaah.

Today I decided to walk through the neighborhoods near the comic shop, which involved going up and down steep hills and across busy streets. In retrospect, not a terribly bright idea.

At the end, just as I was about to turn around, I saw a little hidden lake surrounded by houses, though. It had ducks. And fences. Lots and lots of fences. And signs, everywhere.

I also got the ACTUAL results of the lab tests in the mail, sorta. I'm really just on the border of 'high cholesterol', and I'm way too young to actually have problems from it assuming I don't let it get out of control. So I should watch fats and stuff, but there's no need to panic or become a vegetarian or anything.

I blame the telephone game for the panicked worry in the voice of the receptionist, since she didn't have the actual numbers, just the assistant's word about what the doctor had said about the results from the lab.
