A Sad Fair

Comic books today -- and a lot of new ones came out this week, including Lucifer and a Fables prequel and the Filth and Tall Tails. The comic shop's all the way down in Burien, though, and there was an 'art walk' going on.

Apparently, in Burien an 'art walk' is a bunch... no, that's giving it too much credit. An 'art walk' is several booths selling arts and crafts, a few old men playing jazz, and a scary gang of scruffy looking kids lurking in the 'beer garden'. Note the absense of anyone *attending* the art walk, and who can blame them for not existing? It was really sad.

The Waste

I had the urge to write something, just now, so here it is. It's a very short story about a hero, or a patsy, or a crazy person.
