Tonight was Lazar's Friday Shadake game. Amidst final exams and household chores, our heroes struggled to fit in the demands of the thieves' guild they'd joined. And somehow not get killed.

Just what I need -- enslaved by a SECOND demon!

Lazar was very amused by my mid-game Tarot reading, because once again it was fairly accurate to what he had planned, even though it was randomly generated from a Tarot deck I made up for this game. Indeed, it was accurate for *nearly* any plot a DM could be reasonably expected to come up with, which is why I interpreted the cards that appeared in that fashion.

Literally.

The clerks at the comic shop were talking about how their friend's pet tiger had been eating all the local pets, and went on to talk about how when they were young their pets had been eaten by lynxes... but no, that's not scary.

They did have 3.5 in, and it's about like I expected, which isn't really what I expected, and is kind of disappointing. The only relevant change for my character is that I can't have a dire weasel as a companion until level 4. That is, since we aren't taking anything but the classes in one game, and nothing at all in the other.

The combat rules are a lot more explicit about what you can and can't do, with diagrams and everything. But we aren't using that either.

But, anyway, after reading the ONE comic that came in this week (Girl Genius) and looking over 3.5, I was hot and bored and decided to go swimming, but... there were people there by the pool.

They weren't swimming. They were lurking. Lurking in a corner, and speaking Spanish, and looking swarthy. And staring at me, and talking to each other in Spanish.

So I went swimming anyway, even though I could feel ALL THEIR EYES shooting beams of something, but I didn't know what, because they were speaking in fricking Spanish. Eventually, one of them came into the pool, so I fled in terror, and immediately they all got up and dived in, like they'd been waiting for me to leave.

Needless to say, the whole thing was not fun.

I hate people who speak in foreign languages.
