Well, sort of. Playing Lufia, I got to the top of the tower, where four dragons waited for their stone/tablet combinations to be inserted in order to 'open the gateway to the holy land'. Since I only had one stone/tablet combination in hand, I put it in its proper slot, and went to look for the others elsewhere in the tower, since the tower was the only new place that had opened up after the last plot point, and they hadn't been located in any of the other areas my new companion had let me visit.

But I got all the way to the bottom of the tower, and hadn't found even a single new tablet or stone. Huh. I went back to the save point in the huge town (since travelling across the countryside is free unless you want to search the interveing areas) and saved, wondering what I was supposed to do.

So I went to check the walkthrough. Apparently, I was supposed to try to use the gateway even though I'd only inserted one of the stones, and all the ancient inscriptions had been very clear about needing to activate all four dragons before it would work. Apparently, the next plot point is me getting horribly cursed for trying to use the gateway with only one stone. *sigh*

Which made me think about how players had done the same thing to me when I was GMing, and how maybe I could use the same tactic -- have nothing happen because they lost the plot, until they beg for hints. But, no, that would only piss them off. }:P

Reminds me, I have to actually decide what happens next week still. Haven't really been in the mood.
