Well, Friday we met at Lazar's place to make characters for a BESM game. After several character ideas were shot down ("It's set in a mundane world, so you can't be Kero from Card Captors unless you want to spend most of the adventure not talking or moving.") we worked out that the genre was basically 'Friday the 13th the Series' combined with 'Men in Black' and possibly some sort of superhero game.
I decided to be a librarian dabbling in the occult who put on a cursed amulet ala Zoe from Sluggy Freelance, only it turns him into a griffon whenever anyone says 'griffon'. I'm thinking (based on an observation of the Metamorphosis trait, namely that there's no point taking self-metamorphosis at any level above 1) about making him more bogus by adding some magical ability based on Buffy the Vampire Slayer witchcraft.
Lazar's being a 'goth punk kid necromancer'. He's also a pokemon trainer... I think he steals the souls of his victims and turns them into cute little monsters, but I'm not sure. Snowwy said he's 'muscle' but seems to be keeping everything else a secret.
Saturday was 'Free Comic Book Day'... the comic shop was only grudgingly giving them out, though, since apparently they don't get them for free, and they've been beset by 'trick or treaters' who come by once a year to get free comics and never buy anything.
Saturday night I cancelled AC2, and went on about all my complaints on the exit survey... then went to see X-Men 2 instead, which was pretty good. Especially how they handled Magneto.
Today I snuck out to meet for lunch with the Crossroads movie gathering, which was meeting early, and now I'm back supposedly playing WT online, although with people missing and the GM sick we're just sort of being in character. :P
