Demo Gods Hate Me

There's a new pointless ritual added to our build process recently -- before you check in, you're supposed to summon various people to look at the feature and make sure it worked.

Of course, for the third straight time, as soon as these people step through my door, everything I did immediately stops working. I tried the demo steps ten minutes before the demonstration just in case, and they worked. K and D and P walk in, and everything goes berzerk.

Then, near the end, a large part of the feature, which was actually checked in three weeks ago and has been working ever since (and is very noticeable every time you boot) vanishes entirely halfway through the demo and doesn't come back, even after rebooting the whole computer.

I'm going to find out where the demo god lives, and I'm going to destroy it, once and for all. That is my quest.

Mushroom Tower of Doom

Tonight we had a special session of Lance's high-level D+D game... Luis wants to get in another couple sessions before he leaves for Canada to pursue his dream of living in abject poverty after his startup game company fails.

We had to quit early, of course, because Lance is (as ever) beset by 19-year-old girlfriends. Or at least that's who he tells us is calling.
