Delayed Determination

terryclothI spent all weekend cleaning, except for the game over at Tom's, and a little relaxation Sunday night, after all that was left to do (of phase 1: clean up the reasonable things, and see if the manager is reasonable) was wash the bathroom.
So this morning, before taking a shower etc., I mailed in to work that I'd be out, since I wanted to get all this taken care of, and washed the bathroom, then headed down to ask the manager lady to come up and take another look.
She wasn't there. Someone else was there, but declined to give her own judgment on the matter. She said that 'Val' would be back tomorrow, and that I should come back then.
So I'm back at work today after all, and I'll take off tomorrow. No problem, right? Just a slight rearrangement of timing.
But no, it's not just that. If I'm back at work, that means the ferret needs to come back out of the cage and stop hiding under its pile of newspapers so that it can do its job, because the fricking angel doesn't know math. But if it's not in its cage it can think and feel about all this and I am so fucking doomed and aargh I hate them and --
