Sick, but not that sick.

terryclothMost of my symptoms are getting better -- no fever to speak of anymore, really, and that was the only real other symptom I had -- but my sore throat was getting worse and seemed to be spreading around my mouth, so I called the 'consulting nurse' at the 'health cooperative' that I have instead of normal health insurance... is it an HMO? I think it is, and just doesn't call itself that due to bad publicity.
The nurse basically said that I was being a hypochodriac, but that I could get tested for strep if I wanted (normally, they'd wait one more day for it to go away on its own before testing, so I wasn't being *that* paranoid). So I got tested, and they found nothing. I'd be more comforted by that if any test by them had ever come up positive.
But let's not be *that* paranoid. Even if the fungal infection that was really obviously a fungal infection and responded to antifungal treatment came up negative for fungus.
Mmm, fungus.
So, anyway, it's probably just a cold, and I should wait it out, and maybe gargle with saltwater. Ick. And suck on hard candy. Ow.
And clean my bathroom, although that's because the NEW new management company that bought out my apartment complex (less than two months after the last time it changed hands) is coming into my aparment to 'install a new fire detector'. Riiight. I'm sure that's the reason.
