For my health, I'm supposed to take a half hour walk every day. With the parking situation at work (2000 people, 1500 parking spaces), lately I've been doing it mostly after getting to work, which means walking an annoying route next to a busy street and crossing at crosswalks. I hate crosswalks, but jaywalking would be suicide, and I hate suicide more.
So today I finished my shower early enough that I sort of almost had time to walk in the neighborhood near my house before leaving for work. And, what the hell -- I could take the bus! The 253 goes right from my apartment to work and back.
But when I got back after walking, I realized that (a) I was early enough to drive to work and get there around 10ish, which is early enough to get a space, and (b) the next bus was in 25 minutes, and with travel time I'd end up getting to work around 10:40.
So, no bus for me. What's up with 'every half hour during peak times', anyway?
