Well, Allstate finally called. It looks like thanks to my excellent driving record, the lower expected mileage per year (determined empirically by the final mileage on the old car), and various security and safety features on the new car, they can lower my insurance to only about $200 a month.

Um... wait a second. I was paying $100 a month on my old car.

Oh, we had to add fire and theft and blah blah blah because it's financed.

My old car was financed... and you said I had full coverage.

Oops!

I think I'll probably be looking for another company shortly. This isn't the first time they've lowered my insurance to a higher rate, but it was always 5 or 10 dollars at a time before.

Meanwhile, Chrysler Finanancial told me they'd mail me the lein release form immediately, since yes, I paid off the Neon ages ago. It'll arrive in 3-5 business days. So I call up Honda Financial (or whatever the hell they're called) and tell them the ETA as they'd requested.

"That long? Can you get it to us faster?"

*I'm* not the one mailing it.
