It was cold this morning, taking the little walk I've been trying to do, but the aggravating part was that *twice*, drivers pulling out of a driveway sat there and waited for me to pass. I don't like walking in front of cars who're trying to turn -- it's dangerous if they don't see you, so it's definately not a habit I want to get into. In one of the cases I was already halfway to where I could walk around behind the car, when she backed up. Fucker.
Then, driving to work, I'm heading down the two-lane road and hit my blinker because I'm going to turn left into the parking garage, and come to a stop to wait for the one car heading the other way to pass. So he stops to wait for me to turn ahead of him. Idiot! It takes me longer to be *sure* you're actually stopping and then go than it would for you to just drive on the fuck past.
But it was once I got to work that the real annoyance started. I have a bug reported against four (apparently) obscure printers from Japan, that doesn't seem to repro on the normal printer I use, so I made the mistake of asking the testers if they had any of these printers in their lab...
They don't. They have a bunch of printers that are *almost* the same model number in various farflung labs, and one of them decided to make it his quest to get them on the network for me. This involves exaggerating the urgency of the issue to assorted people all over the world, then coming and heckling me about this and that, and asking *me* if a 4550 is 'close enough' to a 4551 -- as if I'd know! He's also telling people that I'll 'coordinate' what's going on, whatever the hell that is, according to the backtrace when I was finally added to the e-mail thread.
So I'm being rushed and hurried and bothered by various people when I just got in -- apparently, some of them assumed I was going to stay late last night to take care of this, given how 'urgent' it is, and are wondering why I went home last night... Grr.
I'm so sick of this crap! It's obvious that none of these people are actually interested in helping me, they're just trying to score boy scout points with god or somebody at my expense. I want them all to suffer horrible crippling illnesses.
