Movies and stuff, but mostly movies

terryclothWent to the movie gathering today, to see 'Master and Commander'. The movie itself wasn't starting until 3:45, so we were hanging around Crossroads scaring people for more than two hours.
Kayla is totally insane. Just wanted to point that out.
The movie was neat! I went there expecting 'Honor Harrington only not in space', and that's about what I got. Although to be fair, the books it was based on came way before scifi was even invented. But anyway, the movie stayed interesting all the way through, and didn't do anything especially cringeworthy, which makes it a good movie in my book.
Afterwards, I headed over to Legend's where a bunch of other people were already there listening to music. Eventually, we watched City of Lost Children, which made much more sense this time. It also didn't put me to sleep and didn't make me cringe -- two good movies in the same day!
It was kind of amusing, though, watching the way people got up and ran around like crazy when a couple people arrived in the middle of the movie -- it reminded me so much of insects stirred up from a rotting piece of meat... }:P
