Happy Happy, and a dream
Nov. 14th, 2003 10:37 amThere's a patch for ToEE (thanks,
spengler) that has many fixes. In particular:
* Bardsongs that lose track of their targets will no longer crash the game.
Yay!
Anyway, I also had a dream. In it I was the girl from The Longest Journey or maybe the game with all the skittles in it... yeah, the skittles one would make more sense considering.
It started with being dragged to a wedding reception for someone I sort of barely new. It was at a small church, one of the new-style ones that's a rambling one story mess of a building. Food was set out, but no one was eating, so I started making myself a sandwich, only to find out that the actual wedding ceremony was still going on! Oops. Fortunately, I decided that I had Nightcrawler's superpower and bamfed into my seat to see them make their vows.
However, to make up for that embarassement, I had to turn myself into an imp and go through a portal to a magic realm where the bride's father or possibly god was imprisoned. I tried to go through without transforming, but the portal ring didn't fit over my shoulders, so I had to turn into an imp.
Inside was a manmade pond surrounding a small marble structure, covered in water lilies and with lots of bugs and birds and animals that were all bright pink. For some reason I had to pick up and touch each animal, even though they'd all bite me, drawing blood and injecting some awful poison that would contaminate me and turn me into 'one of them', although other than turning pink I didn't notice anything. And they kept biting me even after I was pink.
I left a trail of blood across the water lilies as I circled around to the small building's door. Inside was... well, in the dream I knew it was an altar, but it was actually just the interior of one of the covered picnic areas at the parks I used to go to when I was little, with the raised stone barbeque pit.
The person I was looking for was there, and we had a long rambling conversation that at the time was mysterious and spooky. I wish I could remember what was said...
