There have been an unusual number of people lately whose motives have been less than pure... or at least, that's how it seems.

One of the ladies manning the checkout at the cafeteria shortchanged me twice in a row. I think I wrote about this earlier. At the time, I assumed she was a thief, but since then I've bought many things from her without mishap, so either she reformed, realized I was on to her, or I was wrong about her. She also might be the manager -- the other cafeteria workers seem to report to her sometimes.

At the DMV, as previously noted, a lady seemed to cut in line with the sort of confident glib story backed up with reasons for people to *let* her cut in line (oh no, I'll be late! Good thing I was *really* second in line. Honest.) that make me think 'sociopath'.

I forgot to mention that on the way to work from the DMV, I was approached by someone who claimed to work for the same company in a different building, and asked for a ride. I gave him one. He asked a lot of suspicious questions about my work and the company's plans, and didn't give any answers to anything I asked. He insisted on being dropped off on the street next to campus instead of directing me to his building (he claimed he worked in 32 after I said I worked in 115). A spy?

Finally, at least of the people I remember, is a tester who's been assigning me an awful lot of 'not-repro' bugs -- meaning, I don't see the problem she's reporting -- and insisting they be resolved 'fixed, no change' instead of 'not repro', as a fixed resolution of any sort counts towards her quota of valid bugs.

Just now she did something particularly suspicious, though -- she entered a bug on September 28th that was an exact duplicate of a bug fixed on the 18th. I checked the September 28th build on the strange OS it was reported against (10.2.8, which Apple only breifly offered to the public -- I had to search around to find someone who'd installed it) and saw no problem, so resolved it 'not repro'. She reactivated it saying 'It repros on the build from the 10th, so resolve it fixed'.

Since I was the one who fixed the problem on the 18th, I was able to dupe it properly, but otherwise I might have gone ahead and done that just to get it off my list -- 'fixed, no change' bugs are exactly as good as 'not repro' or 'duplicate' bugs as far as my stats are concerned. In fact, I've done that before on bugs from her at her request.

So the question is...
