D+D e-mail is eating my brain

terryclothTrying to convince the sunday group to let me play a weasel with a hat (of disguise). I think the only people who've expressed an opinion were okay with it after seeing the stats, so I'll do that.
Tom's complaining that since (the cleric spell) command is worse than sleep or charm person, he should be able to take it as a cantrip. Well, okay, I don't think he actually expected to be able to, and command is actually pretty lame. Although with a friend's help (to deliver the coup-de-grace it allows) it's 'save or die' at first level.
But then, so is 'sleep', over an area, with a duration.
Erik seems to have been pulling a bait and switch... convincing the group to allow genasi as ECL 0 by pointing at how unimpressive most of them are, then taking the one that *is* really impressive (earth genasi) and using an upgraded version of it from another source. Oh, no, wait, while I was writing this he chimed in saying he wasn't using (or in fact aware of) that version.
It looks like since I mentioned I had a module that level 3s could run... although it's crappy... and I told them it's crappy... I might be elected as the first DM because no one else has anything (they're all busy making characters).
Now... I'm going to go eat lunch, because I am hungry, and must FEED.
