May. 14th, 2003 11:09 pmMy sister and brother-in-law came over to give me a key so I can watch their dog while they're in Hawaii... we also went out to dinner at Claim Jumpers, a restaurant whose gimmick is comically oversized portions. This being a family outing (more or less) we all ordered 'cheap' stuff like burgers (note: not actually cheap), but each of us had a full box of leftovers...
The waitress still asked us if we wanted dessert.
I wasn't very good at the smalltalk, unfortunately. I think the main problem is that there's nothing that I can really talk about -- everything I've been doing lately has been stuff I enjoy doing rather than stuff that's impressive to talk about, or useful in any way, and it's not really even *popular* culture. No one wants to hear about what video games I'm playing, or how many people died in the last RPG session.
Or maybe I just need to focus more. Or plan in advance? Write up cue cards?
