Game called on account of swimming!

terryclothToday Tom's RttToEE game was cancelled due to the Everquest/Scuba Diving contingent being in the Carribean. Several other people also called to cancel, so there weren't even going to be enough for the side-game I've been told to keep on line in case we *almost* have enough people to play some week. Which is good, because I was only remotely ready to run it -- I know which modules I intend to run the next time the backup game happens, but that's about it.
So, I went to the Crossroads Sunday Movie Gather and actually managed to link up this time, but no one could agree on what movie to see, and we eventually decided to just go swimming in Kiefer's apartment complex pool. Which (somewhat to my surprise) actually happened -- apparently that group is far more organized and effective than the other people I sometimes (fail to) hang out with.
Swimming was fun. I was disgustingly flirty with everyone, but that's fun too. }:)
Then I came home and called my mother (back) and got to hear about her work and family and all... it eventually got around to politics, and it was nice to hear that we basically agree on everything. Sometimes I get in that state where I feel all isolated and freakish, and it's nice to remind myself that, yes, the democrats *did* get about half the vote last time. Not everyone is on board with the VRWC, despite their continual triumphalism.
