(yet another) land of confusion
Nov. 15th, 2009 12:22 pmFriday night we did some Shadake. I was kind of sleepy for some reason -- kind of weird, I hadn't gotten any sleep wednesday night but I had thursday. But it was friday that I was sleepy?
So, um, my account might be a bit spotty.

Last night we played some Shadake, resolving the massive battle between at least five fleets and possibly more like eight depending how you count. Obviously, our one converted merchant ship was only involved on the periphery.

After the game, I watched the V pilot on hulu, since it was technically Saturday. I think I like it, and the interview scene was creepy. O.O Then, for some reason, I stayed up until 4:30 AM playing Dragon Age. I had to do one thirty-second multiple-battle sequence twice, because I forgot to save before hitting the world map, and got eaten by wolves. >.< The wolves in that game are hard!

Last night we played some Shadake at Lazar's place. While I was taking my laptop out of car, I dropped it about half an inch -- not even dropped-dropped, it slid about an inch down my arm as I failed to get my fingers around the end of it and the edge collided with the soft rubber bumper seal thing on the edge of the trunk. Apparently, this was enough to break it a little -- now half the time when it boots up, it complains that it can't find the touchpad during its hardware test. LOUDLY.
The touchpad still works fine, though.

Friday night we played some Shadake, moving on to the second of the three cities the genies had asked us to warn and/or get help from on our way to Jaxom.

Oct. 17th, 2009 10:18 pmFriday night we played a little Shadake. Rowyn was flying into town and her plane was late, so we didn't get started until later than we'd normally start, but we still got a decent amount done. Snowwy was missing, so Rowyn played Nico in his place.

Oct. 10th, 2009 06:46 pmFriday night we played some Shadake. We attempted to unravel a mystery, and discovered OH MY FUCKING GOD BEDBUGS. I mean Grid. Not bedbugs. Grid.

Tonight we played some Shadake. Plan B went even worse than Plan A. Or at least, even less according to plan than plan A.

Takara also had a solo adventure where she robbed a bunch of people or something, but I wasn't really paying attention to that part.

It's a TRAP!
Sep. 5th, 2009 10:01 amLast night we played some Shadake. We had to rescue Nico, and walked right into a trap.

We're here to help! Or possibly loot.
Aug. 22nd, 2009 09:39 pmHelping makes it easier to loot. Stupid ghosts and their darkness fields!
That is, Friday night we played some shadake, and went looking for ghost-ships left behind from a changestorm. So that we could loot them.

Last night we played a little Shadake. Mostly dealing with the logistics of running a skyship, although there was a brief diversion into interlunar banking.

Friday night we played some Shadake. Most of it was making an elaborate plan to escape from the port, the rest of it was trying to somehow survive our own elaborate plan.
Then, MURDER!

I was getting really tired at the end there, and doing more harm than good. -.- Party might have been better off if I'd actually fallen asleep. >:)

Drug Dealing for the Moon Bunnies

Jul. 11th, 2009 10:22 amLast night we played some shadake. Kyngeah got Cane in trouble, for once. And Nico almost died because he was the only flyer.

So, Rowyn was planning to stop by next week to sit in on the game. Rowyn, the likely NPCs to take over for the night are:
Villa the drug-dealing bunny (I think a bunny?).
Fernao or Xerxes, the two mages mostly known for getting their butts kicked. I think at least one of them is a burmecian (rat), but I'm not sure.
The political officer watching the party to make sure they don't try anything.
Teatime was mentioned, although it looks like he'll be sort of a native guide since he's the only one on the ship with memories of Amalfia (from one of 'his' previous lives). Which makes him a better bet for staying an NPC.

Out of the Fir, into the Flying Plan
Jul. 4th, 2009 11:56 amLast night we played a little Shadake. Lazar redid the skill system again, because combat in the last setup was very... um... boring. No one ever tried anything because most of the time you just ended up forcing them to spend a little effort dodging you, or else you got a critical hit and killed them. Trying a special maneuver was pointless because unless you got a critical hit, it wasn't going to actually work.
So he switched it to something more like Star Wars, where if you hit but not critically the target could choose to take the damage to their fatigue instead of their hit points. That means non-attack maneuvers can have a designated 'touch effect' to replace the fatigue damage.
Of course, none of us have much besides basic attacks right now.
