Role Playing Gameboys

terryclothLast night was Chris' sci-fi shadake game... we completed the combat we'd left off in the middle of last time. That's all we did. Well, gamewise. We also played a lot of pokemon -- there were no less than four gameboys present, three of which were playing pokemon ruby/sapphire (the fourth was playing metroid fusion). The Gameboy SP is *so* much better than the normal GBA...
...so, I burrowed into this guy's face, and it's really amazing how light and fluffy human flesh and bone is, compared with a normal person -- it was like slicing up meatloaf. With extra ketchup. I made a little nest in his chest so that I could fit inside the suit, hoping that maybe I could pretend to be the guy or something, or at least be immune to the lasers they were shooting since they didn't seem to affect their own suits.
But I guess one of them I hadn't seen saw me burrowing in, and tried to blow me up with a mortar -- good thing I had psi sensing up, 'cause I managed to detonate it in midair. Then I ZHOOPED the suit over to him (using the normal levitation spell I keep around to fly with), grinned really wide, and licked his faceplate. He totally lost it and started running, but didn't get far -- Blue's avatar was there and stabbed him right in the face. Ouch!
Oh, yeah. I smashed his faceplate with psi when I licked it. And he was smart to run -- I was going to do the same thing to him I did to the guy whose suit I stole. He might have survived just getting stabbed in the face.
After that, I spent a bit figuring out how to work the suit's guns, and opened up with mortar shots. They didn't really hurt the enemy, but they blew holes in the floor, and I managed to drop a couple. Blue and the bunny-engineer used psi to disable enemy suits, Ran crept about in hiding, popping out only to slice them in half with his sword -- I need to learn how to be invisible sometime! -- and Isaih and Trent ineffectually did nothing much.
Eventually, they ran out of troops. I don't know how many we killed, and how many were just wounded and decided to stay down. I only killed one, which was kind of a bummer, but I killed him in a really messy way and got to splatter blood all over everyone shaking myself off afterwards, which made up for it. I think Ran killed the most, and he claims he doesn't believe in killing. Ha!
Then we stole some mostly-functional suits and scurried back to our ship. Obviously, the feds are on our tail in a serious way.

So, yeah. We basically finished the combat, then called it a night since it was midnight. Gaaah. We were planning to go see Spirited Away today, but don't have each others' phone numbers, and e-mail is not a good way to coordinate, so it might not happen. Sigh.
