Why do they call it 'lazy' when you *can't* focus?

Anyway, I spent the weekend playing AC2 and D+D. AC2 was powerlevelling somewhat effectively but extremely boringly (it's no fun to spend an hour scouting for a particular critter, alone, in an area where you can't solo anything). D+D was sort of a hazy 'uh, it's been six weeks, how do we play these characters again?'.

Dark Cloud 2 sucks less when I forget about the whole stupid invention system and just play the *rest* of the game, although I'm sure that won't work forever. The ridepod in particular seems to have no way of getting better without inventions, and it's the death-cannon you pull out when you can't fight the monsters any other way.

Children of Dune was okay. I think. I think I set the VCR to tape the rest of it -- good thing Buffy's a repeat this week.

The Filth this month makes the story even MORE of an 'Invisibles' rehash with 'The Crack'. Source of incomprehensible power, check. Opened by atom bomb, check. Harvested by people in weird insectoid suits, check. Somewhat to my surprise, given the series to date, it was NOT a butt-crack.

Paraphrase: "We don't have the luxury of seeing only what we want to see. We see what *is*. That gives us an advantage that looks like magic to everyone else."
