Each turn there's a 25% change that Kaito attacks Elsie (meaning one of them, probably Kaito, is going to die), a 25% chance he comes to his senses briefly and can go hide somewhere, a 25% chance that Elsie attacks Kaito (see above), and a 25% chance that she briefly comes to her senses but tries to punch a wizard while she has the chance instead of working to mitigate the confusion. q:3

These are independent chances so there's also plenty of room for 'nothing interesting happens because of the confusion' like the last two rounds.
