I didn't actually spend 7 hours sitting in front of the computer running updates. I spent seven hours running back to the computer every 15 minutes to see what had kept it from progressing *this* time, or that it wasn't quite done with the current step.
The rest of the time I was mostly reading Silver Scales in
unfinishedtales. For some reason, when
rowyn mentioned that she'd written a story, I didn't connect that with the story journal she keeps, and looked for it everywhere else instead, with no luck.
It's a pretty neat story. I stopped when she finished 'book 1' and started in on the sequel. Because it was 1am and I *still* hadn't gotten iTunes to work and wanted to go to bed. I've found going to sleep is the best thing to do when you're really angry -- things usually seem less important in the morning.
