Your fork, it has a flavor...

Forks are not supposed to have a flavor. Forks are supposed to be utensils used to eat the things which have flavor. They also aren't supposed to dissolve in water, or break in half, although to be fair disposable forks *are* allowed to break in half sometimes.
The new 'compostable' forks, on the other hand, taste like popcorn. This is because they're made out of corn starch. It's really gross eating with them, because you can feel bits of them dissolving in your mouth and accompanying the food down your throat...
I don't know, I can probably get used to them. And the paper plates and cups which have no insulation against heat, so that you have to take a bunch of extra napkins just to be able to hold them. If styrofoam isn't recyclable, maybe 'paper plate plus half a dozen napkins' is better for the environment that just the styrofoam plate.
I'm not sure what to do about the lack of plate covers, though. Not only did they let you stack multiple plates on top of each other when the servers decided to give you each side dish in its own container, they were the only way to get the salads nice and mixed up without spraying bits of lettuce all over the office.
Trying to be environmentally friendly is all well and good, but they really need to think about the backlash. I hate the environment more and more each day.
