Pent Up Frustration?

Mixed results over the weekend... the big activity was of course City of Villains.
I played Aci for a bit, and took on a couple of the new Archvillains. They didn't seem *that* much harder than before, but then the teams each had at least three /kinetics or /dark corruptors or masterminds to debuff their regeneration, which is supposed to be the big killer. And there were some signs of that -- when Valkyrie went Moment of Glory, suddenly none of the -regen attacks could hit her... and she started regaining health rapidly. Through moment of glory's supposedly complete regeneration debuff.
But grandville was far, far too laggy, and I had to solo if I wanted to do my own missions (and I *did* want to do my own missions, since I need to unlock a patron power pool before making 41 with him), so before long I switched back to lower level stuff.
I ended up playing quite a bit in the 'pentacle' teams -- a bunch of people from the livejournal channel formed a coalition of AT-based supergroups to team up with each other, although they're not all properly coalated yet, so a lot of the organization still has to happen over the (still horribly broken) global channels.
It wasn't too bad, although they had a tendency to do really, really easy missions. Apparently, they consider the difficulty of the mayhem missions to be about right because when done against green and grey enemies, we only had five or six deaths. And the thought of going up against an orange minion was enough to make them sprint across the map to change the difficulty.
Current Mayhem Mission Score Card:
Solo, enemies are white or yellow: 2 wins
Grouped, enemies are grey: 2 wins
Grouped, enemies are blue or higher: 4 losses
I didn't spend long at the furry meet on Sunday, because the house they all went to afterwards has too many freaking computers -- everyone ELSE (all seven of them) had their own laptop or desktop or playstation, which made it really, really boring to be around them without one of my own.
I did decide to update my video card drivers to see if it would stop a random crasher while logging on to CoH... I don't know if it fixed the crash, but it made everything much, much slower -- unplayably slow. I was really freaking out and getting ready to uninstall and revert until I remembered the tweaks I'd made to the driver earlier (primarily, setting it to 'performance' instead of 'quality'), and went back and re-did them. Heh.
I also ended up watching a lot of Angel, though. And Xiaolin Showdown.
