Urgh... I feel somewhat dead today.

Last night I was nearly driven to tears by frustration with city of villains. As I go up in level, my stalker seems to get weaker and more fragile. Streethunting is no longer possible, because a single even-level lieutenant will often kill him, even though he can bring it down to 25% with an assassin strike. And let's not even think about going after bosses...

On a team, all I do is hit once, run away, and try not to die, and mostly fail. Teams seem to be weaker the more stalkers they have on them.

I think I need to stop playing that character. I thought that perhaps the stealth aspect would make up for the 'scrappers were nerfed into oblivion by I5' aspect, but I was wrong.

On the other hand, the ice/ice corruptor I started plays like an ice/ice blaster with weaker blasts and a worse secondary. I did mostly streethunting up to level 7, and found that, almost without exception, every single person who passed by would unload their biggest attack on the enemy to steal a bit of the xp. Especially if the enemies were green or worse to them. After six levels of that, I complained on broadcast, and got 'Ha ha, we're evil!' as a response. Whee.

As for my mastermind... wow, it's amazing how weak mastermind pets are. It's a struggle to take them up against white minions, and fighting a boss always requires resummoning in (hopefully) the middle of the fight.

I think a /dark or /rad corruptor or mastermind would do better -- /traps and /ice are just kind of lame. /ice really wants to be /storm, and has a lot of the /storm powers, just not the good ones. Except Freezing Rain. At level *35*.

Anyway, what *actually* drove me to tears was 'Rocky Raccoon' coming up on iTunes. I have no idea why a song based primarily on puns makes me cry, but it does, every time. Gaaah.

So I stopped playing Co[H,V], watched the tailaways story on Lost and the masturbation episode of Drawn Together, then started playing Dragon Warrior VIII. So far I've had two party wipes trying to get through the first dungeon, although at least the second one was against the dungeon's boss. It's nice that it autoreses your whole party when you die, for the modest fee of half your gold.
