Conifur, day 1

I did go down to Conifur today. Eventually. First, I needed to visit the ATM. On the way, I passed vehicle registration and remembered that oh my god I forgot to mail it in! So I went home, and couldn't find the card... but that's okay, they have computers, they can look it up, right?
Right. They looked it up and were able to tell me that the department of licensing had received the card I'd mailed in, and send back the tabs yesterday. Which explains why I couldn't find it.
Aaanyway, I stopped in Burien to pick up the week's comics, parked in an airport-focused lot near the hotel, and spent most of the money I'd brought on old comics at the first dealer's table I came to. Is it my fault he had 42 old comics I was looking for?
I did buzz through the rest of the dealer's room (only buying a couple other things), meet yetanotherbob and silentsteel and tarka and odious and teeka and fire and keifer and SR and yes, most of these people are local, but I hadn't seen them in a while. I checked out the new PS2 game with the collossi in it (couldn't get anywhere, man what a frustrating game), a couple cheap-ass games, played a game of 'Hecatomb' using starters I'd picked up at the comic shop earlier, commissioned a badge from Lazar...
And realized I couldn't go out to get food because the airport lots were intended to be long-term parking, and didn't have in-and-out priveleges or hourly rates. So I tagged along with teeka and fire and company for sushi, at 'Beneirama's' or something like that in downtown seattle. It was pretty good, although I'm not really that into sushi -- we got a bunch of stuff that was partly cooked, though, and when it's in the 'maki' rolls even raw fish tastes decent.
The eel was really tasty. Mmm, eel.
Afterwards, I stopped by furry pictionary to watch Mab and Drip and Matt (from BDK) kick various local furries' tails... although I hear they eventually lost. I briefly visited Lazar's room to pick up the badge, and chatted with him and Murdock a bit. They want to move the Friday game to Sundays... I told them I could handle it on Sunday *nights* so that it wouldn't conflict with the game I already have on alternate Sundays. That'd mean missing the thingies over at Legend's, but Legend could probably use a few less people coming over anyway.
The final event of the evening was Two's comedy routine, followed by Two and Kage doing some improv... I had to leave before it was finished, since my car turned into a pumpkin at midnight.
Have to go back tomorrow 'cause I promised Tarka I'd have lunch with him, and a few dealers I'd buy stuff for them the next day, and... well, I'd probably go back anyway because there's more stuff to do. Might not stay the whole day, though. We'll see.
Got home to find out that the 'free future content' download I'd left running for City of Heroes hadn't gotten very far before losing its connection. 1.6 fricking gigs. x.x Estimate: 106 hours. I was hoping to get 48 of that out of the way during the con, but it looks like it's not to be. Sigh.
