terryclothI'm starting to hate fallen gate.
After some crafting (more fighter combat arts for pristine xp, and a bunch of potions) I called up the other level appropriate guildmate online, who was already in fallen gate, and asked if he could help me get some giant wretches to finish AQ2. "Um, mees sorry, mee going to sleep now." Sigh.
So I formed a pickup group, recruiting a level 21 conjurer and a level 20 bruiser.
Conjurer: "Are you sure we can fight with this group? No healer."
Me: "I can almost solo the things I need -- they're 19 and 20."
Conjurer:"You need help soloing 20s?"
Me: "Well, I'm still waiting to get a useful troubadour spell..."
The conjurer claimed she (I think it was a she -- it was an elf, so it was hard to tell) could solo 25s, but I think she meant solo mobs since we had a hard time of it against the level 20 group monsters. But we could do it, and I got half the stuff I needed before a wanderer killed the bruiser.
The bruiser refused to come back until he'd hit the mender -- apparently he'd been dying a lot. So we waited around for a long, long time while he ran to crossroads and back, then helped him get his shard, then... he died again, as the conjurer wandered too close to the huge group of rangers that always chase me out of that room, trying to harvest a collectable. The conjurer died too. I got away clean. The bruiser logged off. }:P
So I filled out the team with a level 17 bruiser replacement and a level 21 templar -- since it was a proper group now, I offered to mentor down, but the conjurer was leaving (she invised to get her shard) and it was a pretty *small* group... I mentored down anyway, since otherwise I'd have to kick the 17 since he'd get no xp, and we slowly made our way towards the rat room, fighting our way through 17s and 18s that had been grey when I wasn't mentored.
But eventually, we got the giant wretches, and then took the bruiser to the corner of the map where the zombie lore quest starter is.
Chitter: "Okay, let's get out of here. I'm getting really sick of this map, and I swear if the next armor quest is in here, I'll cry."
Bruiser: "You were doing AQ2, right? AQ3 is back in here, constructs of malice."
Chitter falls on the floor, sobbing in anguish!
So, yeah. Next stop is... Fallen Gate. At least the constructs are in a section of it I haven't been to yet.
