"Well, I guess..."
So I got invited to help someone try and powerlevel some level 5 tanker from their supergroup, except that since they didn't know about bridging (calling in a lower-levelled person to sk the one you're trying to powerlevel to instead of making him your own sk) it didn't work very well. And while I *did* toss a few heals, most of what I did was normal controller stuff.
Then we duo'd a mission against Banished Pantheon, which was pretty scary as to the number of mobs considering he was Heroic and there were only two of us. As it turned out, though, the two of us *were* able to take on multiple bosses with a handful of lieutenants and a swarm of minions, since we could generally take them on not-all-at-once. He was playing an energy blaster, known as the most clumsy and random of all blasters because of all its knockback, but he was good about not waking extra things up.
So then we went hunting in the council base, and just as he said 'Wow, I'm finally out of debt!' and we started attacking a boss+lieut+minion group, a patrol of two bosses with assorted escorts ran up and aggrod on us, and things went bad.
I lived -- I popped three greens and two purples and said 'run!' -- but the blaster didn't run, and as I had enough breathing space with the purples to get all the earthquakes and crap going, things were fine for a little while... but the energy blast's curse finally struck as *both* bosses were pushed out of the beaten area, and I can only chain-hold one boss at a time.
We still would have lived if he'd just focused on the boss he already had half-dead, but instead he switched over to killing minions, and the boss just chewed us up from behind faster than I could heal. I popped superspeed and fled, and two seconds later he was dead (I think he tried to run away with Fly, which wasn't fast enough).
So once my end was back, I came back to see if his body was clear, but it wasn't... and he got up to try to help me or *something*, and died again. Eventually, I managed to run away dragging *one* of the bosses with me, and he got up, followed, stood right next to the boss, and died *again* because the boss kept hitting him instead of me for some reason, even though I was the one attacking. Then he got up and died instantly again.
"Just GO TO THE HOSPITAL already!" I screamed at him, and he did... and I soloed the three remaining enemies.
Slowly.
He got back from the hospital -- and since we were on Striga, this meant Talos Island hospital -- before I finished. "Back up to 34k debt. ARGH!!!!"
I didn't say: *dumbass*
Eheh.

We sat on top of the roof of one of the council barracks, watching the sunset and talking about our alts... very romantic. [snicker]
