Skyler...

Hardly anyone showed up at Crossroads today, which wasn't a big surprise, because, like, FC. It was sort of a surprise that I showed up, although probably not to anyone but myself. We were *supposed* to have the Sunday game today, but everyone cancelled except for Eric and Josh -- including Tom, whose house we'd be playing at. Although, Tom didn't actually cancel, someone else said 'I think Tom said he couldn't do it this weekend', and he never contradicted that. So, maybe I should have been there... we would have just been playing board games or something anyway, though.

But instead, I went to Crossroads, and played some magic. Skyler was there -- not a furry, but one of the people who hangs around at Crossroads and plays magic, normally on Saturdays, but he was there that Sunday for some reason and saw us playing. It was nice to face down some unusual decks, or at least some different ones than what I normally play -- Slivers isn't exactly 'unusual'. Kitsunetaur also bought some alternate decks.

Afterwards, we went to Legend's, and watched the Tanuki Wars, which was cute, although it dragged near the end. Oh, and the last half or so of some weird show about a train to heaven.

I got back to find that the DVR had crashed again, even though I'd left it on, and I'd missed my third chance to record 33;Water. I called Comcast, and they reset the machine, erasing everything, and told me that that might fix it. Although of course I'll have to wait until it's reloaded its series info, and then set up all the series I want to record again. Might be able to do that tonight, depending on how fast it gets the data.

Tomorrow is the last chance to record 33;Water together, but I think they're getting shown individually later on this week. I don't really know what to expect... I guess I expect it to crash again. If it does, they'll replace the machine, they said.

Hating is in effect. All I really want from electronics is that they work like they're supposed to for the basic use scenarios, but that never seems to work out for me.
