I-Pod troubles

terryclothOr, well, firewire troubles. This happened like, Saturday, but I didn't say anything about it because I wasn't sure who to blame -- Apple? Microsoft? Sony?
It looks like 'Sony' is the weiner. The stupid firewire port stopped working right in the middle of updating the ipod, blue-screened the computer, then refused to recognize the ipod when I rebooted.
I tried various things, but the only thing that eventually worked was getting a USB cable and using that instead. Plus, the apple store was sold out of them, so I had to search around to find one. Sigh.
At least it's working now.
