Horror Movie Victim
Oct. 31st, 2002 10:41 amApparently, I'm a lighter sleeper than I thought. Last night, right in the middle of a dream about the play about to be put on in Spellshocked, I heard a noise like a door opening and footsteps, and was instantly completely awake and alert.
After verifying that the monster-like figure lurking through the open door of my closet was just the water heater, I proceeded to skulk about the apartment, weaponless, without turning on any lights, searching for the murderer that had just broke in.
Now, the 'no lights' I can explain -- I was fully adjusted for darkness, and turning on the lights would have blinded me for about ten seconds. The 'weaponless' bit was kind of silly, though, since I keep a sharp knife on the table in the middle of the living room.
Fortunately, there was no murderer. I don't know what the sound actually was.
