This amuses me in roughly the same way as the (real, not comical) notion that gravity is caused by random chance -- massive things are likely to get closer to each other, in roughly the same way hot and cold things set next to each other are likely to transfer heat. This means that 'when pigs fly' and 'a snowball's chance in hell' are, in fact, exactly equivalent.
